Janie has dubbed my former breast area Boobarea (prounounced Boob - area, get it?). We have decided this is the Biblical land where my boobs used to live and the new promised land.
Pretty unenventful day, but still there were some bright spots. Janie and I walked a whole block. I was so sore and swollen today that I could barely do that. However, I felt much better tonight, so maybe we can do 1 1/2 blocks tomorrow. That would be cool.
I still have a lot of fluid build up. So, I'm doing another night of essential oils to ease the discomfort. It's like when you stop breastfeeding. Your body has to learn that you don't need those fluids, and it has to figure out how to absorb it. I guess Boobarea is a slow learner.
So anyway, my first bright spot was seeing Janie and Kayden, exercising, and being outside.
My second bright spot happened when Zoe and Raegan came by after school. I love that they still raid the pantry. Raegan brought me a present. She gave me a travel wine cup. Yes, that child carried a wine glass in her backpack all day. I gave Zoe her birthday present even though her birthday was in July. The breakup happened just a couple of days before her birthday, so I was unable to give her a gift until now. I gave her a cute Jim Morrison T-shirt and told her to look up The Doors music. I'm determined to expand that girl's musical tastes. I also gave her a breast cancer awareness beaded bracelet.
Bright spot number three: text message from friends and hanging out out with my boys, Rachel, and my dog along with dinner from Mom and Dad.
Bright spot number four: I got the coolest gift in the mail. Sue sent me a goddess stamp that she etched herself, a T-shirt iron on decal with pink heels on it that says, "Crush Cancer," and pink ribbon socks all sent in a handmade envelope.
Bright spot number five: I started a blog on Weebly. You are reading it now. Ha! I'm pretty excited about sharing my journey! Thank you for going along with me so far.
