I speak of change, because my job is getting ready to change again. I must say that it's a bit uncomfortable, but I know that I'm up to the challenge. Challenges can be exciting and can offer new opportunities to learn. So, I will move through this new experience with strength and dignity.
It may seem like I haven't been writing much, but I really have been working on art and the things that make my heart happy. It is so important to take care of our spirits and feed them. I opened my little Etsy store and now have two products. Nope. I haven't sold anything yet, but I'm getting ready to add another item. In the next couple of weeks, I will have my ink on canvas drawings for sale. I am also in charge of decorating the float for our Red Hat Society for our annual Orange Blossom Parade coming up next week. I can't wait to post pictures of the float all put together, but it's not there yet.
Today is my my mom's 70th birthday. Can I tell you people about this woman? She is quite amazing! She has worked since she was 14, and is still working today. Whenever I have a problem that I need to work out, she is the one I go to for advice, because she is the walking, breathing embodiment of wisdom. No matter what decisions I make in my life, she always supports me . . . always! She is absolutely the best grandma ever. I hope that my grandchildren will have as much love and respect for me as my kid's have for her. Happy birthday, Mom. I love you!
I want to leave you with some things to think about:
1) EMBRACE CHANGE. You can't make it go away. Find the fun in it. Learn from it. Never try to run from it. It won't work. It will find you.
2) LOVE YOURSELF. You are perfect. There is no one else like you in the whole entirety of existence. You matter.
3) FEED YOUR SPIRIT. Do things that make you happy. Laugh. Don't just walk through this life, dance through it. Smile every single day, every single hour. We only get to do this once, after all.
4) TELL THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER THAT YOU LOVE THEM. We have limited time with those that we love. Let them know how important they are. Spend time with your children. Talk to your parents. Make room in your schedule for your friends. Never let a day go by without saying, "I love you," at least once.
You, my readers, matter to me. I love you.
